Started
About Glen
Glen Rimondi’s love for Volkswagens started early—long before Hilltop Motors ever opened its doors. As a young boy, Glen spent countless hours in the garage alongside his father and brother, learning how to work on Volkswagen engines and discovering the craftsmanship behind these iconic cars. Those early days sparked a lifelong passion that would shape both his career and reputation in the VW community.
In 1966, Glen turned that passion into a business by founding Hilltop Motors. Over the decades, the shop has become known for exceptional service, fair pricing, and one of the most impressive inventories of vintage Volkswagen parts around—including many rare pieces that have never been used. Glen built his business on honesty and quality, and today his team of factory-trained mechanics shares the same dedication to keeping customers safe on the road while preserving the spirit of classic Volkswagens.
Beyond the shop, Glen has long been a familiar face in the VW enthusiast community. For 25 years, he was a vendor at the VW Bug Jam Show, connecting with fellow collectors and helping keep vintage VWs running strong. His personal favorites are the oval split-window models from 1951 and 1955—timeless examples of the cars that first captured his imagination.
When he’s not working on Volkswagens, Glen enjoys a wide range of passions. He spent 15 years playing in a bluegrass group called The Valley Grass Band and has been collecting vintage guitars for more than 45 years, including prized pieces from Fender, Gibson, and Dobro. He’s also a lifelong dog lover with a special fondness for Chihuahuas—one of his beloved companions even lived to the remarkable age of 24.
Today, Glen Rimondi is more than a skilled mechanic and successful business owner—he’s a respected figure in the Volkswagen circuit and a true steward of the classic VW legacy. His knowledge, dedication, and love for the craft continue to inspire customers and collectors alike.

JOSEPH QUINONES
Mechanic
Javier Rivera serves as Shop Foreman at Hilltop Motors, where his leadership and deep technical knowledge keep the shop running at peak performance.
Rivera began his academic journey at Florida State College at Jacksonville, completing undergraduate coursework toward his Associate of Arts degree.
He brings more than 36 years of hands-on experience as a Volkswagen technician, including time at a major VW dealership before joining Hilltop Motors. Rivera is especially known for his expertise in vintage, air-cooled Volkswagens, though he works on all VW models with equal skill and care. Customers often say he brings their memories back to life along with their cars, and many affectionately call him the “Encyclopedia” for his unmatched VW knowledge.
Outside the shop, Rivera enjoys spending time with his wife of 30 years, their two daughters, grandchild, and a wide circle of friends. He also loves playing with—and thoroughly spoiling—the family’s big, lovable dogs.
Joseph Quinones is a skilled Mechanic at Hilltop Motors, where he diagnoses, repairs, and maintains vehicles to keep them running safely and efficiently.
With 22 years of experience as a Volkswagen and Audi mechanic, Quinones specializes in servicing both vintage and modern models, bringing deep technical expertise and precision to every job.
Before joining Hilltop Motors, he worked for HanesBrands in Puerto Rico, a global leader in basic apparel. He also worked for VW in Orange Park, FL.
Outside the shop, Quinones enjoys jet skiing with his wife and children, whom he considers his greatest accomplishments. He values time with family and friends and embraces every opportunity to make lasting memories together.
